Spooky Spider Web Pizza
*Ingredients:*
Regarding the pizza dough:
- 1 package of active dry yeast (0.25 ounces).
- One teaspoon of sugar
- 3/4 cup of hot water
- 2-cups of all-purpose flo
- Olive oil, 1 tbsp
- Salt, 1/2 teaspoon
For the garnishes:
- A half cup of pizza sauce
- 1 1/2 cups mozzarella cheese, shredded
- Sliced black olives
- Sliced bell peppers
- Sliced red onions
- Slices of cooked sausage or pepperoni
- Fresh leaves of basil
- To taste, salt and pepper
*Instructions:*
1. Make the pizza dough as follows:
a). Combine the warm water, sugar, and dry active yeast in a basin. Allow it to stand for 5 to 10 minutes until foamy.
b). Combine the flour and salt in an additional, big basin.
c). Add the oil and yeast mixture to the flour mixture. Until a dough forms, stir.
d). To make the dough smooth and elastic, knead it for about 5 minutes on a floured board.
e). After putting the dough in a basin that has been lightly greased, cover it with a damp cloth, and let it rest in a warm location for roughly an hour, or until it has doubled in size.
2. Create the pizza and assemble it:
a). Set your oven to the 425°F (220°C) temperature specified on the pizza dough package.
b). On a floured surface, roll out the dough into the appropriate pizza shape and thickness.
c). Place the dough on a baking sheet or pizza stone.
3. Construct the spider web:
a). Cover the dough with the pizza sauce, leaving an edge boundary for the crust.
b). Cover the sauce with the shredded mozzarella cheese.
4. Include the toppings:
a). Black olive slices should be arranged on top of the cheese in the shape of a spider web.
b). Add bell pepper or red onion slices in between the olive slices to create "web lines."
c). To make spiders, cut cooked sausage or pepperoni into thin slices. Small olive pieces can be used for the body and thin slices for the legs.
d). Season the toppings with salt and pepper to taste.
5. Cook the pizza:
Carefully place the pizza in the preheated oven, then bake it as directed on the dough packaging, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly and the crust is golden.
6. Finishing touches
To make the pizza look like creepy crawlies are lurking around when it comes out of the oven, top with fresh basil leaves.
