Lemon-infused Grilled Chicken Wings with a Peppery Kick

  1. "Lemon Pepper Wings: A Grilled Flavor Explosion"

A great recipe for grilled lemon pepper chicken wings is provided below.

Ingredients:

- 2 pounds of wings from chickens

- Olive oil, 1/4 cup

- One lemon's zest

- One lemon's juice

- 1 tsp. freshly ground black pepper

- 1 teaspoon salt, tasted, etc.

– One teaspoon of garlic powder

- A half teaspoon of onion powder

- 1/2 teaspoon of optionally additional paprika for heat

- Optional garnish of fresh cilantro or parsley

Instructions:

1. Prepare the chicken wings by giving them a cold water rinse and drying them with paper towels. For simpler grilling, you may also divide them into drumettes and wingettes.

2. To make the marinade, combine the olive oil, lemon zest, lemon juice, black pepper, salt, garlic powder, onion powder, and paprika (if using) in a large mixing bowl. Ensure that the marinade is thoroughly blended.

3. Marinate the wings: Place the chicken wings in the marinade-filled basin and toss to coat completely. Put plastic wrap over the bowl or put the wings and marinade in a bag that can be sealed. For optimal taste, let the wings marinade in the refrigerator for at least two hours and ideally overnight.

4. Heat up the grill: Turn the heat up to medium-high. Wait until the coals are hot and covered in ash when using charcoal.

5. Grill the chicken wings after removing them from the refrigerator and allowing them to come to room temperature for 20 to 30 minutes. They cook more evenly as a result. The wings should be cooked through and have a good charred exterior after being grilled on the grill for 12 to 15 minutes per side.

6. Verify doneness: Use a meat thermometer to check the internal temperature of the chicken wings to make sure they are properly cooked. The temperature of the thickest region of the wings must be at least 165°F (74°C).When the wings are finished cooking, take them off the grill and place them on a serving tray.

7. Garnish and serve. To add freshness and color to the wings, you can optionally sprinkle them with freshly chopped parsley or cilantro. While still hot, serve the grilled lemon pepper chicken wings.

A number of side dishes, such as grilled veggies, coleslaw, or potato salad, go nicely with these wings. At your upcoming barbeque or event, enjoy this recipe for tasty and zesty chicken wings!
